EXIST G LT 2022
The future is in your hands.
With the Airdrive Design, control your reel as you hear it!
This new technological concept of the Airdrive Design will prefigure the future of Daiwa reels and this first page of a new era opens with the 22 EXIST!
The development of this new reel was based on separating the product into two different units. The rear part, the frame, uses know-how mastered by Daiwa since the introduction of Monocoque and Tough Digigear technologies, essential for robustness and reliability. The front part of the reel has undergone a complete overhaul and the creation of the Airdrive Design concept around the key parts of the rotor, the basket handle, the spool and the axis.
The Airdrive Rotor, the work on the shape of the rotor, increases the resistance of this masterpiece while lightening the reel and reducing the rotational inertia by 16% compared to the previous version.
The Airdrive Bail: the robustness of the Airbail basket handles has always been a strong point at Daiwa. On the new 22 EXIST, the design of several components of the handle has been reworked. The diameter of the hollow pick-up has been reduced by 30%, its angle reworked to make line engagement more fluid and the roller fitted with an additional groove to better center the distribution of the line and limit twisting (Twist Buster III) .
The Airdrive Spool: the spool is always a decisive element in the appreciation of the design of a reel, a reflection of its character. On this version of the flagship of the Daiwa range, the spool is lighter, equipped with a shoulder on the bottom to limit the risk of the line engaging on the axis and is equipped with a new evolution of the brake system, ATD-L, as well as a new, louder sounding ratchet.
Airdive Shaft: the vertical rotational force coming from the crank is converted by the pinion into a horizontal force. The axis passing through the pinion supports the oscillation of the coil. These exchanges of constraints are crucial and represent an engineering challenge to obtain great smoothness of operation. The floating axle is now supported by a pinion whose ends are equipped with bearings to ensure better transmission without loss of power and collars that ensure silence.
