DAIWA TOURNAMENT AGS

The arrival in our factories of two new carbon technologies developed by our engineers has enabled us to rework our Tournament rods dedicated to sea bass fishing. The X-45 Full Shield (reinforcement of the entire blank) and the V-Joint Alpha (adjusted control of the junction point between the tip and the butt of the rod) have made it possible to reduce the diameter of our blanks while maintaining excellent precision and great solidity. These new Tournaments are therefore perfectly balanced and offer excellent reactivity in throwing and in combat. Every detail of the finish has been carefully chosen so as not to overload the rod and make each model a suitable tool but also pleasant to use in fishing action. M and MH actions are perfect for light scratch fishing, "finesse" applications in kayaking and wading. HMH actions are an excellent compromise for anglers wishing to alternate fishing for crankbait as well as soft lure fishing. The stronger H actions allow you to fish with a soft lure from a boat in the short versions or from the shore for the longer models. The HXH action is ideal for shore fishing at long distances with crankbaits (12/17cm) or small jig casting when distance is a key point of success. allow you to fish with a soft lure from a boat in the short versions or from the shore for the longer models. The HXH action is ideal for shore fishing at long distances with crankbaits (12/17cm) or small jig casting when distance is a key point of success. allow you to fish with a soft lure from a boat in the short versions or from the shore for the longer models. The HXH action is ideal for shore fishing at long distances with crankbaits (12/17cm) or small jig casting when distance is a key point of success.

AGS:

AGS technology has been developed by Daiwa to produce rod guides with an exclusive and unique structure. AGS frames are made of an extremely resonant specialist carbon which is unbeatable in terms of sensation.

Carbon gives rod blanks their stiffness and lightness – so what better link between the rod and the line than carbon itself? AGS carbon guides are the lightest in the world. Just as a rod’s blank has a fast action, the rigidity of the AGS frame offers extraordinary sensitivity, relaying vibrations on the line directly to your hand. Reading the bottom and bites with AGS technology simply has to be tried to be understood!

X45:

This manufacturing process involves layering spiral carbon fibres (90°), unidirectional fibres (0°) over three layers and two layers of carbon as helicoidal opposites (45°). These two crossed layers give the name Bias Cross Wrap.

 The wrapping of X45 guarantees true elasticity: a return to the original shape of the blank irrespective of the angle of load.

Nanoplus:

Daiwa uses Toray nanotechnology and optimises it with our own fabrication processes to fine tune our resins down to the nanometre!

Nano-binding of resins optimises the adhering process of Daiwa’s best carbons to create ultra-high density blanks that are lighter, stronger and more sensitive.

SVF:

A reduction in resin and tight packing of the fibres combine to make a lighter, faster, more sensitive blank.

V-Joint:

The V-Joint is made from Bias carbon wrapped at45°, improving the curve and action of the rod under compression on the cast and the fight.
The V-Joint’s Bias carbon has a perfect shape memory – returning to its original position as soon as the force exerted on the blank is lifted.

Micro Pitch:

A micropigment finish is hot sprayed during the wrapping of carbon sheets. This removes the need for varnish, offering less weight and more sensitivity

Exclusive Reel Seat:

Daiwa’s engineering department has developed Daiwa-exclusive reel seats which fuse innovation with Fuji® elements.
