Daiwa Lexa E LT 2019

LT aluminum frame reel!

The Lexa E LT is an original reel combining LT technology with an aluminum frame, like the Certate LT. This little gem of robustness goes under the bar of 200 € with advanced technologies: MagSealed oil, the ATD brake and the Tough Digigear control wheel! It is designed for muscular fishing, as it is practiced in particular at sea. The MagSealed ensures the insulation of the frame against the spray, the ATD brake guarantees controlled combat with a restraint and a progressiveness which characterize it and the Tough control wheel Digigear provides smooth and powerful rotation, even in the heat of battle. The spool displays a beautiful Daiwa logo engraved in the aluminum which underlines its strength. It is an LT + reel which keeps the lightness of the LT concept while having a high "power" component of

  • Forged aluminum spool
  • Winding by crossed turns

LT

LIGHT AND TOUGH

LT: a new concept of miniaturization in the engineering of Daiwa reels. Diminutive of Light and Touch , for Light and Robust , this LT technology presents new reel sizes, smaller and stronger than ever. The new, completely redesigned Digigear control wheel is reinforced.
To take in hand an LT reel is to adopt it!

NEW COMPACT DESIGN

Daiwa engineers have focused on removing unnecessarily heavy components and shapes while maintaining the strength and capacity of the coil. This totally new, compact design with a more powerful Digigear gearing gives our LT reels the best lightness to power ratio.

Luvias 2510PE-H: 245g

ZAION and DS5

The Zaion and the DS5 are extremely resistant components resulting from the carbon technology developed by Daiwa. These carbon components make the reel lighter and stronger than a standard graphite. They are 100% resistant to corrosion, including in marine use. Lightweight, strong and durable, they represent the best materials for our reels.

TOUGH DIGIGEAR

Based on the qualities of the Digigear, we studied the design of a control wheel stronger than ever. We have studied all aspects: diameter, thickness, shape and size of the teeth. We have experienced and tested everything detail by detail, perfecting each part surgically.

The result is a technical feat in terms of strength.

AIR SPOOL ALUMINUM

By completely reconsidering the shape, size and thickness of the coil, we obtained an extra-light aluminum coil, far ahead of the old ones. It is even lighter than our current ABS Air Spool, which significantly improves the balance of the reel.

Comparison of current models. Ballistic LT2500D: 25g. Luvias 2510PE-H: 36g

ULTRA-POWERFUL BRAKE

We combine multiple improvements, down to the smallest detail such as the internal construction of the spool, axle, rotors or braking surface to further enhance the benefits of ATD.

LT reels repel them for maximum drag, even with their small size and light weight. Comparison of current models. LT2500: 10 kg. 2500: 7 kg

CRANK

Keeping the levels of resistance and lifespan for fishing as our main objective, we have remanufactured the crank. The new design contributes to the lightness of the reel.

Comparison of current models. Ballistic LT2500: 11.6 g. Luvias 2510PE-H: 17 g

Mag Sealed

Waterproof - Zero Friction - Increased durability

High technology derived from Aerospace, MAGSEALED is a magnetic oil ensuring the protection of the internal mechanics and improving the rotation of the reel.

MAGSEALED technology is based on a magnetic oil developed by NASA. This magnetic liquid seal was originally used in the transmission of computer hard drives. It was sealed against dust, not water. The problem of water pressure had to be overcome. The great challenge for Daiwa engineers was to control the intensity of the magnetic force and it was necessary to repeat the tests hundreds of times until adjustments of the order of a micron! Field tests carried out by the best specialists in each fishing technique have shown a considerable gain in rotational fluidity.

Maintenance of a reel equipped with Mag Sealed technology

Mag Sealed oil being very technical and stabilized in a magnetic field, it must absolutely not be mixed with any other component (neither oil, nor grease, nor solvent). Penetrating oil of the penetrating or lubricating type must not be sprayed on a reel equipped with this technology.

Magsealed oil is retained by a magnet, it does not degrade. It improves the fluidity and the life of the reel.
After each fishing trip, the ideal is to rinse the reel under a low flow jet (no booster) then dry it with a cloth after having quickly turned the crank in order to remove excess water by rotation. .
There is no major annual maintenance. For intensive use, especially at sea, it is possible to carry out an overhaul to check the Mag Sealed by giving the reel to the dealer who will send it to DAIWA after-sales service.

Only DAIWA after-sales service has the original Mag Sealed oil which is not commercially available. DAIWA after-sales technicians are trained and qualified for the maintenance of reels equipped with this technology.

ATD brake: Automatic Tournament Drag

More precise and progressive brake

The ATD brake has discs impregnated with a new special grease which optimizes the energy efficiency of the brake. This grease of exceptional quality has more grip when starting, it offers a more stable and more progressive brake. The risk of breakage in combat is thus minimized thanks to the more precise response of the ATD brake, which adapts to each phase of the combat: it engages more quickly and more gradually at start-up and it offers better restraint in the heart of the fight. It automatically adapts to the different constraints at each phase of the fight, hence its name Automatic Tournament Drag.

With the Daiwa ATD brake, be ready for tighter, better controlled fights.

Air Rotor

improved rotational comfort

Balance, robustness and sensitivity characterize the Air-Rotor.

Its arched profile, 15% lighter than a standard rotor, provides optimum rotational fluidity and eliminates vibrations thanks to a lower center of gravity.

Stress tests

When applying pressure to the rotors, a weakening point appears on the standard shape (in yellow and red) as the Air Rotor distributes the load over its entire arch structure.

HardBodyz

Aluminum frames

HardBodyz aluminum alloy components are the most rigid. Daiwa engineering develops ultra-precise and solid designs.

Tough Digigear

Cross wrap

The Neo Cross-wrap system allows optimized winding of the yarn by crossed turns and better exit of the line during the casting phases.

This is one of the keys to preventing problems with wigs and line twists.

Infinite Anti Reverse

The new infinite Anti-return system engages under 4 times less pressure than a conventional system.

Less than 2 g is enough to activate this system called “Real Stopper”, eliminating any backwash and raising the sensitivity a notch.

Silent Oscillation

The perfection of the contact points between the helical or straight teeth brings an energy efficiency close to 99% and a silent rotation. Daiwa gear trains offer superior rotational fluidity.

Air Bail

The SUS303 steel “Touch Air Bail” tubular bar is 20% stronger and lasts 13 times longer than a solid titanium bar of the same weight.

Twist Buster II

Developed by Daiwa, the TB2 pick-up roller is machined to ensure optimum storage of the line on the spool when it is rotating.

This system reduces by 90% the risk of twisting the yarn during recovery.

ABS II

The winding surface of a conventional coil is cylindrical, that of ABS is conical and limits the risk of wigs. In addition, the design of the lip decreases the friction of the line to boost the casts.

The new ABSII design is optimized to outperform your casting performance.
